| On the St. Joe River, like the emerald, the waters of the St. Joe River flow and caress moss-covered banks, then plummet into challenging, yet playful rapids. ROW was first to offer trips on the "Joe" in 1986. In May and early June it’s definitely a white-water thriller with raft-bashing waves and holes. | Relive the experience of Lewis & Clark by helping your guides paddle down the trails first navigable water west of the continental divide. You will discover the same excitement, scenery, wildlife and the same beautiful Clearwater River that the Corp of Discovery did in 1805. They use large, comfortable, stable, “ Voyageur” canoes, which can carry up to 15 guests per canoe. Trip lengths vary from ½ day to overnight, with nights spent in traditional Native American Tepees.
